Employees in India can check EPF balance using various ways available to manage PF balance instantly.
The Center has approved an interest rate of 8.10 per cent on Employees Provident Fund (EPF) deposits for the financial year 2021-22. It is worth noting that this is a minimum of 40 years.
In the financial years 2020-21 and 2019-20, the interest rate was 8.50 per cent, while in the previous year (2018-19) it was 8.65 per cent. However, PF still earns a better interest rate compared to other fixed income periods.

- Clicking on 'Member Passbook' in the 'Services' section below will bring up another page.
- Here you can find out the account details by entering the UAN number, password and solving a captcha problem given below and typing in the box next to it and clicking on login.
How to check pf balance in uan portal - Through Unifed Portal
- You can also know the PF balance by logging in directly to the Unified Portal (unified portal epfo login for employees).
- You must enter your UAN number, password, and the captcha code given below on the Unified Portal page and sign in.

How to check pf balance by umang app - Umang app
- You can know your PF balance through the Umang app brought by the Central Government. Therefore you need to select 'EPFO' in the Umang app.
- In it, go to the 'Employee Centric Services EPFO' section and click on 'View Passbook'.
- Then you need to enter the OTP coming to your mobile number along with your UAN number.
- Then you can get the PF balance by clicking on the member ID that appears.
- However, the mobile number must be pre-paired with your PF account.
How to check pf balance via missed call - Missed Call Service
- You can know your PF balance by giving a missed call to 011-22901406 from a mobile registered with EPFO.
- The call will be cut off as soon as it rings twice after you make a missed call. The balance details will be sent to your mobile in the form of an SMS shortly.
- These services are available for free. Unlike smart users, regular mobile users can check their balance.

How to check pf balance through mobile sms: UAN activated subscribers should type ‘EPFOHO(space)UAN No’ from the mobile attached to the EPF account and send an SMS to 77382 99899.
This facility is currently available in ten regional languages. If you want in any other regional language then use language code, eg: you need to send an SMS saying EPFOHO(space)UAN No(space)HIN.
